About the Farm

The Leat

There has been a trout farm in Llandissilio for more than 30 years. It is a well established fish farm that draws its water from the Eastern Cleddau River. It has been under new ownership since December 2005.

The Eastern Cleddau River rises in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains in Pembrokeshire and flows south to Picton Point where it combines with the Western Cleddau.

The trout farm takes its name from the old mill next to the river.

Plans for the Future

We have plans for our own hatchery and fishing lake. One step at a time though, we have to fix all of the ponds and get the farm running smoothly before we can get started on that!

About Us

Vicar's Mill Trout Farm is owned by 4 friends. The opportunity to buy the farm came at the point where all of us were looking to change direction.

We moved here in December 2005 and we now have the pleasure of living in the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside and we're working hard to build our business.
